Care workers are at the heart of our communities.
Providing much needed support to some of the most vulnerable people.
Yet care work is a stressful, often very emotional role, with over a third saying their job negatively impacts their mental health. 42% of care workers expressed feelings of depression, with 36% considering leaving their role due to stress and burnout.
That's why Carecoins Community is creating the first 24/7 helpline staffed by human therapists to help support those in the care work sector.

Care workers need support from people who understand care work, and the challenges they face.
Many helplines are run by dedicated volunteers, and that work matters. But our Carecoins Community support is delivered by fully qualified BACP therapists who have spent time with real care workers, listening to their experiences and understanding the emotional, practical and personal pressures of the job.
That means care workers receive human-to-human support from clinically qualified therapists who understand the realities of caring for others every day.
Carecoins Community is building something different: a future 24/7 care worker support line that is human, therapist-led, and clinically informed.
How it works
Carecoins are simple credits that give you access to the hand-matched therapy, expert-led mental health training and wellbeing support. You only pay for what you use - no wasted budget, no monthly fees, and complete flexibility to access the support you need, through our hand vetted national network of BACP registered therapists.
No care worker should be left speaking to AI in crisis
Technology has its place, but for care workers feeling overwhelmed, anxious or low at 2am, speaking to an AI chatbot isn't the answer.
They need human to human warmth, empathy and understanding, and someone who can understand the challenges they're facing. No care worker should feel that AI is the only answer left to them.
That's why we're creating the UK's first therapist-led 24/7 helpline for care workers.

Carecoins have been working with the care sector since 2021, providing expert mental health training and vital counselling and therapy services to those most in need.
With your support we’re providing Carecoins free of charge to The Care Workers Charity (CWC) and Cornwall Partners in Care (CPIC), to provide vital mental health support to care workers across the UK.

The Care Workers Charity (CWC)
Cornwall Partners in Care (CPIC) is a care association for all CQC registered care providers across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
With 17 of Cornwall’s districts ranking in the top 10% most deprived areas in the UK, financial pressures on care workers hit harder, especially with higher travel costs for domiciliary carers having to travel in rural areas. CPIC supports these carers through networking, training, and providing a collective voice for campaigning and advocacy, as well as offering mental health support to all carers across the region.
