Help build the UK’s first therapist-led 24/7 student mental health support line.

Student life should be exciting, full of opportunity and a launchpad into the future.

From exam pressure to money worries, isolation, and preparing for work, students have never faced more pressure.

That's why Carecoins Community and UNiDAYS are launching a national campaign turning commercial sponsorship into real impact. From October to mid-December, partners can sponsor students to get mental health training, financial wellbeing education, and help fund a future 24/7 therapist-led student support line. This is practical support, not just awareness.

Human to human

Because it hasn't been done like this before.

Many student helplines exist, run by dedicated volunteers - and that work matters. But most aren't staffed by fully qualified BACP therapists, supported where appropriate by supervised student therapists gaining meaningful clinical experience.

Carecoins Community is building something different: a future 24/7 student support line that is human, therapist-led, and clinically informed.

How it works

Carecoins visual

Carecoins are simple credits that give you access to the hand-matched therapy, expert-led mental health training and wellbeing support. You only pay for what you use - no wasted budget, no monthly fees, and complete flexibility to access the support you need, through our hand vetted national network of BACP registered therapists.

No student should be left speaking to AI in crisis

Technology has its place, but frightened, overwhelmed students need a real human—with warmth, clinical judgment, and the training to listen and act.

Our goal: qualified human therapists available 24/7, at no cost. No student should feel their only option is a chatbot.

This fills a gap. Students need someone who understands student life and has therapeutic training—whether a qualified BACP therapist or a student therapist under supervision.

Win-win-win:

  • Students get clinical support
  • Student therapists gain experience
  • Partners fund a national model

That's the UNiDAYS Student Pot: not just funding courses, but building a real-person support system for students who need it most.

Carecoins and UNiDAYS

Carecoins and UNiDAYS worked together in partnership with Nottingham Forest Community Trust to host the first Nottingham Student Christmas Club in November 2025. This event brought together over 60 students from the local area to tackle the growing loneliness and isolation epidemic facing young people across the county.

Student specific events

After the incredible success of our 2025 Christmas Club to help raise awareness of student isolation and loneliness, we will once again be creating student specific events across the UK.

Students

The Christmas Club event was amazing! It's great that people are coming together to recognise the struggles that young people are facing.

Claire

There's so much still to be done for student mental health. Universities are struggling to provide the right kind of support, and training around mental health is almost non-existent. It’s great that Carecoins are looking to provide this support for students.

Jenny

I love the resources page and how helpful it is.
